Australia Imports and Exports Double Line Graph
You will create a double line graph using an import and export for Australia.
Follow the directions below to begin your project.
Be sure to have the materials in class to work on.
You may have time during library and computer periods.
You may do some work at home.
The graph should be completed and printed in school.
Check the accuracy of your work as well as your spelling.
Directions:
1. Find a pair of imports and exports for Australia that are related.
One must be an import and the other an export.
For example, steel and automobiles/ steel and machinery/ meat and wool
Search for data for the same years
For example tons of steel and billions of autos exported for the same years
2. Log onto the computer program we've used to make graphs.

Select the line graph option.

Fill in the x and y axis
Fill in the source of both sets of data
Be sure to put your name in the source box
Select the number of years you will have in your graph- a minimum of 4
Select 2 for the 2 sets of data you will h ave/ 1 for the import/ 1 for the export.
Fill in the group labels
For example Tons of steel imports/ Sales in $Millions of autos exported.
Pick a dark color for the first dot on the graph first line for the graph
Pick a grey color dot the 2nd set of data and the second line on the line graph.
Fill in the years under item.
Fill in the first set of data. Do not use $/commas when putting in the numbers.
Put in the minimum value which may or may not be zero.
Put in maximum number for bit more than your highest number ion the graph.
3. Preview your completed graph. Go back and make any corrections/ changes. Check spelling.
4. See me to print your graph.
