For example: The government capital is Washington, D.C.Use this fact to write a question: Where in Washington do you do most of your work as President?Pick another fact: The President served as Governor of Alabama before becoming President.Use this fact to write a question: How did serving as Governor of Alabama prepare you to be President of the U.S.?Remember, you want to ask questions that are important and will not be answered with a one word answer or yes, or no.You want to ask questions that everyone will be interested in the answers to.The questions should be about religion and government in your Asia country because that is what we are studying about in Social Studies! So, don’t ask “What is your favorite color?” Do you like to be President? How many hours a day do you work?Instead ask questions like: How does working with the religious leaders of your country help keep peace? How does encouraging tourism help improve the economy of your country?Use what you have learned about writing questions in Language Arts to help you form your questions. You must remember to put your adverbs of time, place, manner etc. at the start of the sentence. You must remember to use a capital letter to start the sentence. You must remember to use a question mark at the end of a question.Remember to use the links on the class wiki page as well as books in the library and your own social studies book.Remember to have your materials to work on in class as well as to complete some of the work at home!PLAN a FOUR SQUARE for Your NEWSPAPER ARTICLE
