Homework is posted as we go through the day on the front board. It is also posted on the class Weebly Page. It stays up for the week. Quizzes, tests and announcements are posted. Students may access the page at home and when they are absent from school. Please understand that these are tentative lists as unexpected interruptions to class schedules may not allow time to edit the site before 2:30 dismissal. Students can log on to the home page to access the online programs listed below.
The school has purchased online elements to enhanced its reading and math curriculum from Pearson Publishers. In addition, the school has purchased a license for ixl.com, a math and language arts tutorial program. I also use a spelling tutorial program, Www.spellingcity.com on which my students can use the free parts to practice their weekly spelling words.
How to Access Spelling City
We have learned how to use www.spellingcity.com to practice the weekly spelling words.
Log on to the web address or access it through the class wikipage.
Click on Student. Click on Find a List. Fill in cholette and click enter after teacher's name.
You can learn the words, take a test, or play one of the free games. Good luck and have fun!Children attending St. Joseph School grades 2-5 for the last two years are already familiar with the a reading program sponsored by www.peasrsonsuccessnet.com . The teacher will activate assignments, including a weekly comprehension quiz for students to complete in the computer lab. The online math program is an addition this year, and functions similarly to the reading program. There are online features that the parent and child can access from their home computer to support their child in understanding and completing their homework.
The Www.ixl.com program provides academic support for 260 skills at the fifth grade level.
Students were given a label with the below listed websites/user names/passwords to place in their Agenda Book and Homework Folder. Please note that user names and passwords are computer generated. Contact me with questions.
